South Burnett Psychology provides evidence-based psychological therapy and assessment for children, adolescents and adults across the South Burnett. South Burnett Psychology is experienced working in rural and remote areas with clients experiencing a range of mental anxiety disorders (e.g., generalised anxiety, social anxiety, OCD), mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar disorders) and developmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorders, attention-deficit disorders, intellectual disability) and managing complex/challenging behaviours.
** Please note that South Burnett Psychology is unable to offer intervention within crisis support frameworks, and/or situations wherein clients present with high risk behaviour/s and/or acute mental health care needs **
South Burnett Psychology offers a range of assessments and reporting for agencies including the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), Education Queensland and diagnostic assessment in collaboration with psychiatrists and paediatricians as required.
South Burnett Psychology is owned and operated by registered psychologist, Kate Crowson. Kate has a extensive experience working in various non-government settings including tertiary education (psychology), clinical research (intellectual disability & assessing support need/funding), disability services (NDIS Specialist Support Coordination) and providing psychology intervention across Central Queensland in rural and remote communities. Kate has lived and worked in rural areas for the last 8 years and remains passionate about bringing quality clinical services to rural communities that are too often under-serviced.
